Bookstore and gallery “NBU in the CENTER” invites you to presentation of a musical book “To protect the Silver Bride” by Miroslav Moravski on April 25, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at 191B Georgi S. Rakovski Street.

Rooting is a series of original musical performances based on legends from Bulgarian folklore. Their world is populated by bards and emigrants, Rusalians and scientists, psychologists, fairies and all manner of travelers. IN the collection “To Keep the Silver Bride” three such stories are collected, combining text, original compositions and modern interpretations of folk songs. The player Blagun, armed with a jingle guitar and enviable self-confidence, has to defend a reputation and groom a bride at a Rhodope wedding. The mermaid Sevdal, as hasty as she is warm-hearted, is ready to fight against an entire village to heal a close friend. Father Matei, torn by nostalgia, mistrust and sheer stubbornness, battles his disobedient son, his willful father and his own demons. All of them revive old customs, meet mythical creatures, make mistakes – and lead us down winding paths with no beginning and no end. But with deep roots.

Miroslav Moravski – Moro is a writer, composer and musician, live storyteller. He has participated in various musical projects and formations that mix Bulgarian folklore motifs with a rock sound. Author of the books “Rooting: An Unseen River” and “To Save the Silver Bride”, as well as the musical based on the book of the same name, “To Save the Silver Bride”.

Moreau will immerse the audience in the world of his book through songs.
