In today’s uncertain times, we often look to books written decades ago to explain the world. We see that the Internet, Google and smartphones envisioned in Stanislav Lem’s work are already a reality. The writer was born in 1921 and lived to see many of the predicted discoveries.

Lem’s “Star Diaries” is a book that already has its own life in the Bulgarian cultural space. This was explained by Nikolay Genov, who is a teacher and PhD in Theory of Literature, and also the author of “The Virtual Man: Experience on Phantomics”.

“They were printed once in 2009, but that edition is long out of print. A new translation of the book is being released today, which will give the writer’s fans a new look at this book. They will touch the full version of Star Diaries. They may see Lem in both a familiar and a different light.”

Lem is very ironic, but also full of hope for the future of humanity, Genov said on the program “Horizon do Oed”. cannot even be described in traditional forms”.

Lem doubts total evil and the pessimistic ending. He keeps his faith in humanity, the teacher explained.

“With him, there is a fusion between the theoretician and the writer. He also has serious scientific works”.
