At the briefing of PP-DB and “Save Sofia” after the victory of Vasil Terziev in the local elections for Sofia, the co-chairman of “Democratic Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov answered a question about relations with GERB and the state of the “assembly”.
He pointed out that in the PP-DB coalition, decisions are made with reason and the fact that there is still a government in Bulgaria is a matter of reason and responsibility.
“Is there any reason behind it? Any accusation that can be made against us can be met with another accusation. I can remind you of Razgrad. There GERB who did they play?” he asked. Ivanov emphasized that the responsibility for the existence of the management is paid by both PP-DB and GERB.
“What is the alternative – to throw the country into a continuation of the parliamentary crisis? How long and for what?” added Ivanov.
He pointed out that PP-DB will wait for the GERB meeting and see what decisions will be made at it. “But don’t expect us to start in the same tone – to threaten, rock the boat, destabilize the country,” emphasized Ivanov.
“When there is an alternative, when there is a responsible path to better governance, we will resolutely pursue it. But we will not engage in flattery, threats, arm wringing. It’s because we’re smart. For the moment, I do not see a responsible alternative that can be relied on,” he added.
According to him, one bad news from the local elections is that the expectation of growth of “Vazrazhdane” has not been realized. “Some of the bad alternatives for the country seem to be receding into the background,” Ivanov said.
