A woman is suing Arnold Schwarzenegger for “permanent disabilities” after a car accident in January 2022 that she claims he caused.
Court documents obtained by The Blast state that Cheryl Augustine was left with “permanent disabilities” after the multi-car crash. “At the specified time and place, the defendant negligently, recklessly, illegally, and unlawfully drove a vehicle that caused a collision with the plaintiff’s,” they said.
Cheryl claims in her lawsuit against the actor that she had to hire doctors to examine, treat and care for her. In the documents, she indicated that the care had incurred “medical expenses, the amount of which is currently unknown.” Again, according to her, she was unable to work after the accident and “suffered property damage, including losing the ability to use her vehicle.”
The woman’s wish to Arnold Schwarzenegger is “to cover general damages as well as all medical expenses.”
The publication “Page Six” recalled the infamous accident in which the actor was also present. It happened last year in Los Angeles, California. Just meters from his home, the former bodybuilder crashed, overturning a third car on impact. After the accident, it was reported that the driver of the third car was taken to hospital with head injuries. Schwarzenegger was not injured, but spoke with authorities at the scene. A source close to the former California governor later told TMZ that Arnold was “deeply concerned” about the injured woman and intended to check on her personally. No arrests have been made, and police told ABC7 they don’t believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident.
However, this was not Schwarzenegger’s last encounter. Just one year later, he hit a bicyclist who had turned into his lane in West Los Angeles. Sources told TMZ he didn’t cause the crash because he wasn’t going fast and didn’t have a chance to hit the brakes.
