Melinda French Gates was spotted with a huge diamond ring on her engagement finger as she stepped off a private helicopter in New York.
Melinda appeared with a big smile, accompanied by an assistant helping her with her luggage. She carried a large pink Chanel shopping bag, which retails for around $6,600, over her shoulder.
Although her entire look cost several thousand, the huge stone on her ring finger attracted the most attention from the paparazzi stalking her. Although there has been no public announcement of a possible engagement for Melinda yet, after her split from Bill Gates in 2021, both are already enjoying new partners.
After the couple split, Melinda opened up about what led to the breakup of her marriage, sharing that there wasn’t one specific thing that led to their split, but rather a bunch of things that built up over time .

Since their divorce, Bill has been spotted multiple times with Paula Hurd, 60, the ex-wife of Oracle co-CEO Mark Hurd, who died in October 2019.
Melinda, who called her divorce from the software billionaire “incredibly painful,” is seeing former Fox reporter John Du Pre from 2022.
Du Pre, who has worked as a news anchor in various cities, was previously married to Miss Utah 1985 Gina Larsen.
Although details surrounding the beginning of their romance are still unclear, Melinda first revealed in March 2022 that she was officially diving into the dating world following her divorce from Bill.
At the time, she told CBS Mornings host Gayle King that she was “definitely” open to finding love again — and even revealed that she’s already met some suitors.
