In an episode of the MeSsy podcast, the actress admits to her interlocutor Jamie-Lynn Sigler that she has been going through a particularly challenging time in the past few weeks.

Christina Applegate, 52, says it all started when she contracted COVID-19 for the first time. After her relative visited her, both she and her caregiver fell ill. Because of her weakened immunity, the actress feared the worst. At first she had a headache and chills, but unfortunately the disease turned into a long covid. And this led to a chest infection and a rapid heart rate.

However, the situation became even more unpleasant when during this time the actress also contracted another virus that upset her stomach to the point where she felt terribly dizzy and sick. After doing some research, she realizes that a sapovirus has reached her body. This means that foreign feces were found in her digestive system.
