Like everything else, the price of cigarettes goes up. But it is possible that one box will be sold this week and become the most expensive ever sold. Only because it belonged to Kurt Cobain.
Is the naked baby from Nirvana’s Nevermind album right?
The court’s decision in the case filed by Spencer Eldon
In recent years, the late Nirvana frontman’s belongings have been among the most sought after when they come up for sale. And now, along with his clothes, hand-written poems and musical equipment, an unopened box of American Spirit menthol cigarettes is up for auction.
The cigars are part of Juliens Auctions’ latest auction, called “Played, Worn, & Torn: Rock “N” Roll Iconic Guitars And Memorabilia,” which will take place on November 17 and 18.
And Kurt Cobain’s box, probably to no one’s surprise, has already hit the $4,000 mark (and is likely to rise).
American Spirit was the Nirvana musician’s brand of choice. The box, now up for sale, was kept by Cobain’s roommate at the Exodus Recovery Center in Los Angeles, where the musician stayed in March 1994, just days before he took his own life.

Like the time Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister was Jimi Hendrix’s “everything guy.”
In addition to the cigarettes, the auction also includes several of the musician’s guitars, his stage jeans from the “Heart-Shaped Box” video and notes for the lyrics to “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” according to Loudwire.
