Ex-boyfriend accuses P. Diddy of rape and harassment

Rap artist Sean “Diddy” Combs, known as P. Diddy, has been accused of rape and domestic violence by singer Cassie, the BBC reports.

His ex-girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, said she was trapped for a decade in a never-ending cycle of abuse and violence.

P Diddy denies the allegations and claims she is trying to blackmail him. His lawyer stated that her words were insulting and outrageous.

Ventura, an R&B singer and dancer who goes by the stage name Cassie, complained that the rapper raped and beat her for 10 years, starting when she was 19 and he was 37.

“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my storyshe said in a statement on Thursday.

The lawsuit details his abusive behavior, which she says began after she met Pee Diddy in 2005.

He also plied her with drugs and alcohol, causing her to fall into dangerous addictions that controlled her life, her attorneys say.

The lawsuit describes the musician as “a serial domestic abuser who regularly beat and kicked Ms. Ventura, leaving her with black eyes, bruises and blood.”

In her statement, Ventura also said she is ready to speak out not only about her situation, but to be a voice for other women who are experiencing abuse in their relationships.

In a statement to BBC News, Mr Combs’ lawyer said Ventura had demanded $30 million, threatening to write a damning book about their relationship.

His lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, added that this request was rejected as clear blackmail.

“She has now resorted to filing a lawsuit full of baseless and outrageous lies to tarnish Mr. Combs’ reputation and seek damages.” he added.

In response to Mr. Brafman, Ventura’s lawyer, Doug Wigdor, said the rapper offered her an eight-figure sum to keep her quiet and prevent a lawsuit.

“She turned down the offer and decided to give a voice to all the women who suffer in silence.” he said.

Cassie claims that the music mogul told her that out of jealousy, he planned to blow up the car of rapper Kid Cudi, with whom she is in a relationship.
