Just days after rapper Kanye West was named as a battery suspect following an incident in Los Angeles, a new report claims he actually hit the wrong person.
The 46-year-old rapper was at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, where he got into an altercation with a man who his girlfriend Bianca Chancery claimed assaulted her.
Now, a new report has surfaced online from TMZ claiming that West punched one of the twin brothers who own multiple bars and restaurants in Los Angeles … adding that West actually punched the wrong brother.
The twins are Mark and Johnny Houston, who own top Los Angeles spots like No Vacancy, Good Times at Davey Wayne’s, Black Rabbit Rose, and Break Room 86.
Kanye and Bianca claim that Chancery was pushed by one of the brothers. However, witnesses say there is no evidence to support these claims, with TMZ’s sources calling Censori’s allegations “completely baseless and inaccurate.”
Shortly after, West approached the table where one of the brothers was sitting to confront the man, eventually punching him in the face. However, it turned out that the musician hit the other twin, not the one who bumped into his girlfriend in the lobby.
At this time, it is unclear which of the twins bumped into Chancery and which ended up being hit by West. The rapper left the hotel after the incident, long before the police arrived, so there was no on-site questioning.
An investigation is underway and will be forwarded to the city attorney’s office for review, and it will soon be clear if formal charges will be filed.
Although no evidence has been found, West’s team is adamant that Chancery was attacked that night.
“This was a physical, sexual assault and any attempt to undermine the seriousness of what happened is repulsive and vile,” one of Kanye’s representatives said in a statement.
