John Lennon’s guitar, which experts thought had been lost for 50 years, has been found. The instrument was used in some of the Liverpool foursome’s iconic songs such as ‘Help’ and ‘Norwegian Forest’.

The guitar was discovered by accident in an elderly couple’s attic. Now it will be put up for auction, and experts expect its price to reach several million dollars. “Beatles” drummer Ringo Starr personally contacted the auction house to enjoy Lennon’s valuable guitar, Nova TV reports.

“We received a call from a family. The son said his parents are elderly and moving to a new, smaller home. During the move, they discovered the guitar they knew they had, but at one point decided they had lost somewhere. It’s probably the last chance for fans to own something that was a Beatles thing. It’s such an important instrument. John Lennon played this guitar a lot, so did George Harrison. And we just recently showed it to Ringo Starr , because he wanted to be a part of it too,” explained Martin Nolan, co-founder of the auction house.
