Five people are accused of participating in an organized criminal group for the distribution of narcotic substances after an operation under the leadership of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Varna. This was announced minutes ago to journalists by the spokesman of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Varna, Radoslav Lazarov.
A total of 12 people, aged between 15 and 62, were detained, added the director of the police in Varna, senior commissioner Atanas Mihov. Some of those arrested have criminal convictions. At one of the searched addresses, the police found a list of names, social security numbers and addresses.
Two of the accused are minors and two others have been convicted. A 44-year-old man, accused of leading the criminal group, acted in conditions of dangerous recidivism.
He, as well as a 35-year-old man – participant in the group and convicted, were detained for a period of up to 72 hours by decree of the prosecutor.
A 28-year-old man, who also participated in the organized criminal group, will be released on bail in the amount of BGN 5,000, and the two minors will be under the supervision of a children’s pedagogic room at the OD of the Ministry of the Interior – Varna.
During the work on the case, various addresses, persons and cars in Varna were searched.
About 950 grams of amphetamine, approximately 62 grams of marijuana, 62 grams of heroin and approximately 7 grams of cocaine were found.
An electronic scale with traces of marijuana, marijuana grinders and empty packets prepared for dosing the prohibited substances were also seized.
