“Ethnokitchen on Wheels”, “Blue Summer” and “Circus in Nature” bring together culinary and adventure lovers during the weekend
Three festivals at once will take place tomorrow and Sunday (May 27 and 28) at the new event space in Plovdiv Stage park – at the foot of Mladezhkia Hill. The main festival will be the culinary fair “Ethnic Kitchen on Wheels”. With it, the children’s “Blue Summer” and “Circus in Nature” will run. The idea is that every member of the family can find their entertainment in them.
Culinary delights from Armenian, Italian, Russian, Jewish, Turkish, Ukrainian and traditional Balkan cuisine will be offered in the wooden houses of the dedicated shopping street. The organizers recommend that any foodie who wants to try different culinary delights should bring a folding chair or cushion with a picnic blanket. If the weather conditions deteriorate, a change in event dates is possible.
On the two days of the festival, there will be presentations and Cooking show demonstrations by chefs from different nationalities. They will be from 11 am to 5 pm on each of the two days. One of the best bread bakeries from the region will be visiting the Plovdiv Stage park. She will demonstrate to the children how to make biscuits.
At the same time, the third Festival for children and the family “Blue Summer” will begin with the culinary fair. For the first time, two circus performances will be presented on the big stage of Plovdiv Stage Park.
There will be art workshops for children, and on Sundays there will be music, theater and dance performances on the small stage. Behind the “Ethnic kitchen on wheels” project is the “Zaedno” foundation. The three events are part of the Cultural Calendar of Plovdiv.
On Saturday, in the area of the wooden houses, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., there will be the Culinary Art Fair. Different national cuisines will then be presented. The second location is the small stage at the foot of the Youth Hill. There is an art workshop “Adventure”. Armenian crafts “Parekordzagan” and traditional Jewish game “Archery” will be displayed. There is a plein air area for the little ones and a dance studio “Princess” with Dance To The Max.
The third location is in the large meadow below the hill. There at 11 o’clock “Circus in nature with the whole family” starts. At 5 p.m., a second performance begins. The fourth location on Saturday is the outdoor stage of the “Ribnitsa” park. There, at 5:30 p.m., the “Tsar’s New Clothes” theater festival begins at the “Chameleon” theater.
On Sunday, the culinary show on the street with wooden houses starts at 11 am and will continue until 5 pm. At the second location – the small stage at the foot of Mladezhki Hill, the Puppet Theater will play the show “Kose Bose” for the children. On Sunday, there will be another scene – in the theater in Park “2019” in the “Trakia” district, we will see “The Sick Bears Healthy”. At 12 o’clock there will be a concert by the “Dilyanka” ensemble.
At 2 p.m., the musical performance “In Charlie’s World” starts. Its author is the State Opera-Plovdiv. Half an hour later, the dance show “Dances of the Nations” starts, where Armenian, Turkish and Ukrainian folklore will be shown. There will be raffles and surprises throughout the day.
