The central cemetery park near “Plovdivska” street in Haskovo will be expanded by 91 decares. This was decided by the Municipal Council in the regional city at its meeting today, which took place unusually quickly – within about 20 minutes.
The proposal for the expansion was made by the mayor of the municipality of Haskovo, Stanislav Dechev. The mayor proposed that the Haskovo Municipality acquire the property free of charge, which now has the status of private state property. This is necessary in connection with the urgent need to expand the cemetery park, it is clear from the report. Thus, the city hall conducted extensive studies and determined that the only possibility for expanding the existing cemetery park is precisely the terrain in question in the “Kara Yamach” area.
With today’s decision, the municipal councilors agreed to supplement the Annual Program for the management and disposal of properties – municipal property in 2023. It was adopted with the votes of 31 of the local parliamentarians, with no objections and one abstention.
