In a meeting of the XXV round of the “Veliko Tarnovo” zone championship for juniors junior the Montana team won 3:1 away from Chumerna (Elena). The little Montanans opened the scoring in the 25th minute, when Radoslav Slavchev surprised the home goalkeeper with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Five minutes after the start of the second half, Ivaylo Todorov went up, after a solo action. After an hour of play, the captain of the guests again overcame several players of the opponent and made the result classic. From a foul, the hosts scored their honorable goal at the end of the match.

With their success in the city of Elena, the boys of coach Biser Efremov are leaders in the temporary ranking with an asset of 64 points and a 121-13 goal difference. The second Yantra has the same number of points, but the team from Gabrovo has a worse goal difference of 92-29 and a game more.

There are two more rounds until the end of the season, and Montana is the host in both. The fifth-placed Spartak (Pleven) and the ninth-placed Chavdar (Troyan) will be visiting consecutively on the field with an artificial surface in the “Ogosta” sports complex, and the match with the Trojans has been postponed from the XVIII round. If they win, Montanans will be crowned as the new champion of the “Veliko Tarnovo” zone at U17.
