The application for the summer edition of the internship program of Kaufland Bulgaria has started

--

Kaufland Bulgaria’s summer internship program is intended for students in grades 11 and 12 who are 18 years old. The company gives the young people who have signed up a chance to get up close and personal with the activities of each sector in a total of 15 of its hypermarkets, located in 12 Bulgarian cities: Burgas, Varna, Vratsa, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Kazanlak, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Sevlievo, Silistra, Sofia and Haskovo.

During their summer internship, students acquire their first practical professional skills, while at the same time receiving an attractive monthly salary. The training takes place during the summer vacation and its total duration is 210 hours. Thanks to their participation in the program, each participant gets the opportunity to get to know first-hand the daily working life in Kaufland Bulgaria branches and gain an idea of what the main activities and processes are that are carried out there.

Traditionally, students will also have practical tasks, including: active communication with customers, receiving and handing over orders, regular checks of the freshness and quality of the products offered, control of expiration dates and maintenance of the impeccable appearance of the hypermarket. In addition to gaining useful knowledge during their work in the hypermarket, interns are in constant contact with established professionals from the Kaufland team. Heads of the relevant department in the store act as their mentors. Thanks to this, they can start building a professional network of contacts while still in school.

Each participant signs a fixed-term contract lasting up to a month and a half, with the possibility of working both full-time and part-time between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Interns will benefit from all the benefits that the company offers to its employees – additional health insurance, a sports card at a preferential price, food vouchers and others.

Kaufland’s internship program is part of a number of training initiatives at the retailer aimed at “creating a bridge” between education and business practice. The chain is also among the first companies in the country to partner with a dual training program for high school students. March this year, Kaufland launched the first practical business academy of its kind – Kaufland Business Academy, which is held in partnership with the University of National and World Economy. The program lasts 2 months, and at the end of the academy, students can apply to their knowledge in developing solutions to real business cases. In addition, they get the opportunity to do an internship in a unit of their choice, at the Kaufland Bulgaria Head Office.
