Over 900 children from the country arrived in Blagoevgrad for the third edition of the two-day folklore festival “Colored Flower”. This year there is also international participation of groups from the Republic of North Macedonia. The festival is not competitive, all participants and leaders receive statuettes and certificates for their contribution to the preservation and dissemination of Bulgarian folklore.
“I am glad that this colorful and colorful festival of talent is being held for the third year in a row, because nowadays smiles are what we need most. Dear children, thank you for being here today. I wish you health and success,” said Mayor Ilko Stoyanov and presented a certificate and plaque to Daniela Bogdanova, head of the “Pearls” folklore group, for her efforts in the preparation and organization of the festival.
At the beginning of the festive program for the joy of the little ones, colorful balloons flew into the sky, a symbol of the purest children’s joy and beauty. The festival began with the performances of the youngest participants from kindergartens.
The program continues tomorrow, when the rest of the participants from kindergartens, graduates of educational institutions, community centers and schools will also present their performances.
