A total of nine projects will receive funding from the Culture Program of Gabrovo Municipality in the first co-financing session for projects in the field of culture in the first funding session for this year. This was reported to BTA by the municipal administration.
An expert commission appointed by the mayor of Gabrovo has evaluated the substantive part and proposed projects in several priorities for funding.
According to the priority “Established festivals and creative initiatives”, the International Festival for Children and Adults “Racho and Deshka” – Foundation “OT BG”, “Neophyte Rilski – Clergyman, writer, educator, founder of the new Bulgarian education” – National Museum of Education – Gabrovo, “Songs in the skirts of the Balkans – from the past to the future” – Svetlina – 1927, “X Competition for children’s creativity “Me, my family and my city” – Zora-1872.
According to the second priority – “Creative experience and socialization of spaces” Theater 24 – Small Theater Company, Festival “Leap off page” – Foundation “Elizabeth Kostova”, Summer School “Christo and Jean-Claude” – Museum “House of humor and satire”, “New weavers for Gabrovo” – “Rosina Pencheva” EOOD – Gabrovo branch and Memories from the old tapes – Perfect EOOD.
The Culture Program was established in 2011. Its main goal is to support and stimulate the development of significant cultural initiatives and the creation of quality cultural products, the search for original and innovative approaches and solutions in accordance with the strategic priorities of the Municipality of Gabrovo. The financial resources necessary for the implementation of the Culture Program are provided annually from the budget of the Municipality of Gabrovo. The administration and coordination of the Program is carried out by the “Culture and Tourism” Department of the Municipality of Gabrovo. Through financial investments and supported projects in various fields of culture, the program works for the citizens of Gabrovo municipality and for the cultural sector itself.
