For the Day of People’s Awakeners in Yambol, the “Book for a Book” initiative will take place again

--

On the Day of People’s Awakeners, the Youth Parliament in Yambol again organizes the “Book for a Book” initiative, the municipal press center reports. Young people have again provided books for the campaign to promote reading. The idea is that everyone can take a book they like and leave theirs in exchange if they wish.
“Book for Book” aims to motivate more people to read more. This helps to learn to communicate with each other, to be more empathetic to others, to set more realistic goals and to overcome difficulties more easily, the youth organizers point out.
Volunteers from the Youth Parliament are organizing the initiative for the second time. The stand will be located from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. between the Regional Library and the Central Post Office. Citizens are also given book dividers with QR codes, through which they can participate in an online survey for feedback and recommendations.
The commemoration of the Day of People’s Awakeners in Yambol will begin today with a solemn celebration in front of the bas-relief of the Renaissance teacher Radi Kolesov. After that, students, teachers and representatives of cultural institutes will go in a procession to the Monument to the Yambol teachers-people’s awakeners in the “Kargon” quarter, which was opened a few days ago.
