619 kilometers of national road network will have to be cleaned from snow and icing in Montana region. From tomorrow, the Regional Road Administration will introduce round-the-clock duty.

BGN 1,112,000 has been approved, and the Road Infrastructure Agency must approve up to BGN 2 million by the end of winter.

According to the plan approved by the API for winter cleaning in Montansko, 105 machines, 11 tons of sand, salt – 1160 tons and chemical substances – 39 tons are needed.

The company that will clean the roads in the winter has 45 machines, and if necessary can provide additional equipment, it became clear at a meeting in the regional administration in Montana.

As of November 1, the Montana Road Administration has suspended the issuance of permits for some heavy-duty vehicles to pass through the Petrohan Pass. Violators will be fined 300 leva and one month of deprivation of legal rights.

The police in Montana are ready for action in the event of a complicated winter road situation, with 14 control posts planned.
