Exhibitions, a torchlight procession and a blood donation campaign are part of the initiatives for the Day of People’s Awakeners in Burgas

With various events and initiatives, including exhibitions, a torchlight procession and a blood donation campaign, the Day of People’s Alarmists will be celebrated in Burgas today, reports the press center of the administration in the seaside city. The campaign for free and voluntary blood donation is under the motto “Donate blood and be an example!” and is organized by the Municipality of Burgas, UMBAL – Burgas and the Association of Medical Students in Bulgaria. It will continue from November 1 to 3 in the Department of Transfusion Hematology of UMBAL-Burgas after pre-registration for participation. The aim of the initiative is to promote blood donation, increase community engagement and attract new blood donors.
Another manifestation on the occasion of the Day of Alarmists will be the torchlight procession organized by the Commercial High School in the city. More than 200 students from the Russian High School, the Profiled High School for Electrical Engineering and Electronics “Konstantin Fotinov” and the English Language High School “Geo Milev” are expected to participate in it. The procession will start from “Troikata” square and will pass to “Atanas Sirekov” square.
An exhibition of the Personal Development Support Center and Secondary School “Konstantin Petkanov” will be opened in the building of the Regional Department of Education – Burgas, which will be available for viewing until November 2. It will present the works of students of different ages who recreate the images of various historical figures.
On the occasion of the Day of the People’s Revivalists in the Church of the Holy Mother of God on November 3, the participants in the competition for student drawing and literary work on the theme “Love for patriotism and charity – the benefactor of Burgas Alexander Georgiev – the Kodjakafalia” will also be awarded.
On November 4, the concert “With a song in the hearts” will be held at the House of Culture, with the participation of the Trepetlika Folk Choir and the Children’s Folklore Formation “Shareni Gaitani”.
