Vidin solemnly celebrated the Day of People’s Awakeners, November 1. Pupils, teachers, cultural workers, representatives of institutions and citizens took part in a festive procession from the central square “Bdintsi” to the monument of Sophronius Vrachanski – a clergyman and folk revivalist, who lived in the city for three years and wrote during that time the famous Vidin Collections .

Complaints against the election of the mayor and municipal councilors in the municipality of Varshets have been filed to the Administrative Court in Montana from Nedyalko Tomov, candidate for mayor of Varshets from the PP-DB coalition, reports from the regional structure of “We continue the change”. The complaints are based on numerous and gross violations of the electoral process during the reporting of the results, which raises doubts about their illegality, the PP points out. Out of a total of 2,846 submitted ballots for municipal councilors, 1,005 were invalid, which is 35.3% – well above the national average. The previous mayor won in the first round with 50.43% or 16 votes, which, given the number of violations established, raises serious doubts about the credibility of this result, the party also reported.
