The District Prosecutor’s Office – Targovishte charged a young man from Omurtag with criminal liability for storage and distribution of pornographic materials with persons under 18 years of age, he was detained for 72 hours.
The District Prosecutor’s Office – Targovishte brought a 30-year-old man from the town of Omurtag to criminal liability for the storage and distribution of pornographic materials for the creation of which persons under the age of 18 were used. PS is also accused of establishing contacts with persons under the age of 14 with the aim of creating pornographic material through electronic messages. He was detained for a period of up to 72 hours by decree of the prosecutor overseeing the case with a view to bringing him to court for the determination of a pretrial detention measure.
The young man was detained during a specialized operation by GDBOP employees, implemented under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office, during which numerous procedural actions were carried out over a long period of time. It was established that P.S. stored on electronic media pornographic materials with the participation of minors, shared them and distributed them. In addition, he used social media to contact minors with the aim of persuading them to participate in the creation of material with sexual content. Computer and information technology was seized from the man’s home.
Work on the case continues under the leadership of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Targovishte. A request to impose a measure of remand “detention in custody” against P.S. is pending in the court.
