BURGA WIND ORCHESTRA – HISTORY
The memorable 1947 is the year in which the formation of the Civic Brass Orchestra in Burgas became a reality, and from here its more modern history begins. The fact that the representative brass band of the Municipality of Burgas is a follower of the military band of the 24th Black Sea Infantry Regiment formed in 1889 should not be overlooked.
A major aspiration of the orchestra during all these years has been to place brass music in the focus of the public eye.
For this purpose, the composition maintains a high level of professionalism and a diverse repertoire.
All the activities of the orchestra today are subordinated to the idea of consolidating its name as a kind of cultural emblem of the city of Burgas.
