The Municipality of Stara Zagora and the Center for Support for Personal Development are organizing for the eighth time a National Drawing Competition “My Holiday”. The initiative is part of the National Calendar for performances based on the interests of children and students for the current school year. The goal is to give an opportunity to express the creative talents of adolescents, as well as to stimulate their interest in traditional, national, folklore and family holidays in Bulgaria. The competition channels the creative energy of Bulgarian children to create works of art in the field of fine arts, as well as contributes to cultural exchange, creating conditions for establishing contacts and cooperation between children from the country.

Participants can be all students from 7 to 15 years, regardless of whether they are part of schools and extracurricular units. The race is individual.

Young artists will be judged in two age groups – from 7 to 10 and from 11 to 15 years. The genre range is painting, graphics and drawing, and the format of the works must be 35/50 cm, without passepartout.

Each participant can present up to two works in the respective age group. Each one of them must contain the following information – three names, age, exact address, phone number and contact e-mail. Head of school, school or unit with address, telephone and e-mail must also be indicated. The organizers specify that the works will not be returned to the authors, and that the final date for submission is November 10 (the date of the postmark is valid).

Prizes will be awarded separately for schools and personal development support centers and schools. There are also three awards for the best artists in each age group, as well as special ones. The best performing institutions and leaders will receive a diploma. Prizes are received in person or by Bulgarian post office.

The works approved by the jury will be exhibited in Stara Zagora. The exposition will be opened on December 4 in the lobby of the “Zachary Knyazheski” Regional Library. The expenses for the residence for the opening of the exhibition and the awarding are at the expense of the participants.
