Sponsors and partners of the event will donate one BGN for each 400-meter lap run. With the collected funds, newly published books will be purchased, which will be donated to the “Dora Gabe” Regional Library. The event is not competitive, but the organizers traditionally award certificates in three categories – the most laps run, the youngest and the oldest participant.
The marathon on November 11 will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to participate can do so at a time convenient for them, and no prior registration is necessary. The place is again the so-called Clover in the city park, next to the fresh food kiosk.
The initiative “Through sport to knowledge” was born in 2017 in Silistra, since 2019 it has been held in Dobrich, and since last – also in Ruse.
A total of 830 books were donated to RB “Dora Gabe”, thanks to the three editions of the marathon in Dobrich held so far.
