In the last school days in October, all students from the primary stage of “Bratya Miladinovi” OU – Ruse were trained in first aid – reactions in emergency situations in crisis situations. The trainings were held in all classes with experts from the BCHK – Ruse, as well as volunteers from the BCHK. The students learned about the immediate measures to take if there is a person in trouble. They learned exactly what to say when calling 112, and then continue to give first aid to the victim until an ambulance arrives to transport the person to hospital. They also learned what the six types of wounds are: laceration, contusion, puncture, laceration, gunshot and laceration. The theory was interesting, but the most fun was when they got into the role of giving first aid to a casualty. Everyone with extreme interest wanted to bind up and give a heart massage to the dolls, which were presented by the youth from BCHK – Ruse. The training took place with the girls, who are Bulgarian First Aid Champions, which impressed them even more that they were learning from the best.
