
An orange code for dangerous weather has been announced for Dobrich region and the rest of the country’s regions today. This was announced by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) on its website.
In Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Kardjali, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Haskovo, Shumen, Yambol, a yellow code has been announced due to expected strong wind.
For the Dobrich region, the forecast is for a strong southerly wind with gusts of 25-28 m/s. Significant rainfall and thunderstorms. Quantities 40-50 mm. Strong gusty winds from the south and south-west along the sea at noon and until midnight. Excitement 4 points.
The maximum temperatures today will be in a wide range: from 12-13° in the western regions to 26°-28° in places in Eastern Bulgaria. In the evening from the southwest, the precipitation will begin to stop and the cloudiness will break and decrease, at the latest, on the night of Sunday, in Northeastern Bulgaria.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications announced that, as a result of the rainfall, today there will be significant increases in the river levels in the watersheds of the rivers west of the Rusenski Lom river, including in the upper parts of the watershed of the Kamchia river (above the Kamchia dam), in the entire Eastern White Sea and Western White Sea Basin. Local spills and flooding are expected.
