The powerful storm that until a few minutes ago was raging in Western and Central Bulgaria is heading towards the sea. Meteobalkans.com published apocalyptic photos with trees felled by the hurricane wind.
Attention, there are 3-4 fallen trees on the southern lane of the Sub-Balkan road in the area of the village of Dunavtsi and the village of Koprinka, the publication warns.
“We are observing strong thunderstorms over Central and Eastern Bulgaria! The rains over Eastern Bulgaria are yet to begin! The risk of floods, strong winds and even possible tornadoes remains high!”, climatologists warn.

“The predictions of bad weather, which were expected by the meteorologists of Meteo Balkans, from a week ago, have come true. A Level 3 (Code Red) Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for today. By 11:40 a.m. they had already come true. Significant precipitation covered Western Bulgaria, with the amount of rain in some areas exceeding 30-50 liters per square meter,” writes meteobalkans.com.
At this moment, the processes have shifted to the east and already cover Central and Eastern Bulgaria. Due to the favorable conditions, the conditions for supercells are very good and are even already forming.
