The initiative will be held jointly with the National Agricultural Advisory Service, the General Directorate of Agriculture and Regional Policy and the Regional Directorates of Agriculture. The events will take place in the month of November and will cover 56 settlements.
The information campaign aims to promote organic production and attract more farmers to switch from conventional to organic production.
During the events, the participants will be introduced to the basic rules for organic production and the possibilities for support under the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas (2023 – 2027).
Farmers will be informed in detail about the differences between conventional and organic production, about its basic principles, regulations and obligations that should be observed when growing different crops and animals. During the campaign, the need for certification and the advantages it gives in the realization of production in the sector will be explained, and good practices from the organic production of other countries will be presented.
