A strong storm closed roads, blew away roofs, broke electricity poles in Smolyansko, many villages are without electricity. That’s what he said about “Focus” acting mayor of Smolyan, engineer Mariana Tsekova. “The roads from Smilyan to Bukatsite and Gorov, the road to Gela and Solishta, the road from Reka to Katrani are closed due to fallen trees from the strong wind and heavy rain. The roofs that were blown off are in the villages of Katranitsa, in Sivino, in Gorna Arda, in Colonel Serafimovo. A large part of the populated areas in the municipality of Smolyan are without electricity, which also cuts off the power supply in the city of Smolyan. The teams of the municipality are in place to clear the fallen trees,” explained Engineer Tsekova.
