A tornado took the roofs off 30 houses near Isperih, a tree trapped a woman in Shumen (Video, photos)

A tornado passed through the village of Lavino near Isperih. It took the roofs of 30 houses, according to initial data of the teams on the ground.

Disaster and accident headquarters are being convened in Isperih.

It has not stopped raining in the entire Razgrad region since morning, BNT reported.

The weather is dangerous across the country on Saturday. In the capital, emergency teams of the municipality responded to 8 reports of fallen trees and overturning.

There are floods in several places in Pernik, and the heavy rains there started already on Friday evening.

In Plovdiv, there are also fallen trees and flooding along some of the city’s main boulevards. Images from social networks show floods in Pazardzhik as well.

A strong storm also hit Shumen, where a 66-year-old woman was trapped by a fallen tree. A rescue team responded to the scene and pulled the woman out. She has a fractured vertebra in her spine, as well as a dislocated ankle and a fractured right leg.

A tornado was also observed 10 km from Silistra.

According to “Meteo Balkans” data, another storm is forming in Southeast Bulgaria.

In Dulovo there is also a strong storm and houses with their roofs blown off. Eyewitnesses claim that a strong tornado passed through the city.

Sliven was also hit by a strong storm and fallen trees, where a tree trapped a car.

There are also apocalyptic shots from the storm in the region of Kazanlak and Buzovgrad.

In Provadia there is strong wind and heavy rain.

Kardzhali was also hit by a storm that left behind fallen trees, broken branches and material damage.

On Friday, forecaster from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology Anastasia Stoycheva predicted significant amounts of precipitation on Saturday. In most of the country, 30-40 l/sq.m are expected, but in Western Bulgaria and the Rilo-Rhodope region, quantities of the order of more than 50-60 l/sq.m, including 100, are possible.
