Students from the Vocational High School for Transport “Vladimir P. Minchev” in the Montana village of Vladimirovo won first place for the recitation of Russian authors in the National Competition for Russian Poetry and Declamation, held at the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia.
This year’s competition was dedicated to the works of Leo Tolstoy and Sergei Mikhalkov, and a professional jury of Russian literary critics and actors evaluated the participants.
Russian language teacher Natalia Bayanova was preparing the students, said high school principal Tsanka Karcheva:
The “Golden Trio”, three students from the 10th “a” grade – Yordan, Lyuben and Veselin, participated in this competition for the second year and took first place. The duo of Ivona Alexandrova and Miroslava from the 11th grade also won first prize. Simona Alexandrova performed well. All students received diplomas. The audience’s applause was most impressive.”
With this consecutive success, high school students solidify their leadership position among vocational high schools in the Montana region that give their students the opportunity to develop their creative and acting skills.
