The mayor of the municipality of Razgrad will be elected in a runoff between Miroslav Grncharov from the coalition “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria” and Dobrin Dobrev, nominated by the Initiative Committee. This is clear from a decision of the Municipal Election Commission (MEC), published on the commission’s website.
In the first round of the local elections, Grncharov received the trust of 4,097 residents of the municipality or 23.70% of the voters. Dobrev is supported by 3,250 people or 18.80% of voters.
The mayors of seven villages in the municipality of Razgrad – Getsovo, Osenets, Pobit Kamak, Poroishte, Radingrad, Rakovski and Yasenovets – will also be elected at the runoff today.
43,002 voters have the right to exercise their right to vote. They will be able to vote in the 71 sectional election commissions formed, 56 of which will also have machines. The movable sections for the municipality are two, covering the territory of eight settlements, the spokesperson of the Municipal Election Commission, Yumgyul Ahmedova, told BTA.
In the Razgrad region, the second round of the local elections will also take place in the Isperih village of Dragomuz and in the Kubrat towns of Kamenovo and Yuper.
