A strong storm hit Shumen and the area in the afternoon. The police report receiving a report of a fallen tree in the area of the City Garden in Shumen.
According to initial data, a 66-year-old woman who was under him was injured. A rescue team managed to pull her out and put her in the ambulance, bTV learned.
During the examination at the Shumen hospital, it was found that she had a fracture of a vertebra of the spine, as well as a dislocated ankle and a fracture of the right leg.

Later in the day it became clear that the storm claimed two lives in Shumensko. The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city informs that a man has died in the village of Razvigorovo. He was buried by a fallen wall of the outbuilding on his property.
A second man – from Veliki Preslav, died after going to the outskirts of the city to meet his grazing animals. He is believed to have stepped on a downed electrical wire. The place is cordoned off, waiting for teams from the power distribution company to inspect the place and secure it.
