471 are the polling stations in the Municipality of Plovdiv for the production of the second round of the elections on 05.11.2023: 459 nos. sections in schools, etc. municipally owned buildings, 4 nos. voting sections with a removable ballot box for people with permanent disabilities, 2 pcs. sections in the detention center and prison, 6 pcs. polling stations in medical facilities. (The polling station No. 103 formed for the first round in the Central district of the Medical Center Plovdiv at the Sofia Academy of Medical Sciences, with address: “Hristo Botev” Blvd. No. 81, is closed for the second round due to the lack of bedridden sick voters)
In 455 pcs. sections voters will have the option of voting with paper ballots or by machine. There will be no machine voting in sections with less than 300 voters. For the Municipality of Plovdiv, these are 16 units. sections.
The total number of voters in the Municipality of Plovdiv entitled to vote in the second round is 282,251 (“Central” district – 59,499, “Eastern” district – 43,359, “Western” district – 30,617, “Northern” district – 40,826 , “Yuzhen” region – 63,120, “Thrace” region – 44,830).
67 voters appear for the first time in the electoral rolls of the Municipality of Plovdiv. These are residents with a permanent address in the city of Plovdiv, who turned 18 in the period between the first and second rounds.
To facilitate voting, for voters with impaired vision or mobility difficulties, free transportation is provided on election day. Requests for specialized transportation of people with permanent disabilities from their home to the polling station and back to the voter’s home are accepted until 5:00 p.m. on 05.11.2023. on phones: 032/962478 and 0887484884.
Plovdiv Municipal Administration reminds that by their orders the mayors of regions have prohibited the sale, serving and use of alcohol and spirits for the period from 06.00 a.m. to 08.00 p.m. on 05.11.2023. in public catering establishments and other public places within the administrative-territorial boundaries of the city of Plovdiv, with the exception of those establishments where pre-planned family celebrations are held.
