It is difficult to supply electricity in a part of North-Eastern Bulgaria

Today’s sudden strong storms led to emergency situations on the overhead power distribution network and to difficult power supply in a number of settlements on the territory of North-Eastern Bulgaria. Numerous broken electric poles and destroyed infrastructure engaged more than 110 duty teams of the company to work to restore the operation of the facilities throughout the day, reported the press center of ERP-North.

Power has already been restored to many of the affected locations.

Due to the dynamic nature of the weather, secondary emergencies and outages still occur in the country, many of them short-lived due to equipment protections being activated, preventing greater damage. All activities on the network are coordinated by the 24/7 dispatch centers, in the emergency situation, the management team of the electricity distribution company is also involved.

As of 6:00 p.m., 88 are the settlements with difficulty in power supply.

The teams are on duty at the locations and the work to restore damaged facilities continues.
