Pre-trial proceedings against the chairman of electoral section 182 in the Sliven village of Gorno Alexandrovo have been opened today, announced the spokesman of the OIC in Sliven Todor Todorov. It is for an official crime in counting the ballots and adding preferences.
According to Todorov, the chairman of the section was detained for 24 hours, and the evidentiary materials were handed over by the OIC to the investigating authorities.
“We have provided police officers with materials they requested from the District Prosecutor’s Office.”
Todorov said that the OIC has taken the necessary actions for the section in Gorno Alexandrovo to open its doors tomorrow.
“The current chairman has been replaced. The others who are members remain, they were only questioned today. Nothing more. Otherwise, the section is kept with another chairman”.
On the day of reflection, two complaints were filed – mainly for misplaced campaign materials.
Runoffs are coming up in two municipalities in Sliven region on Sunday – they are in Sliven and Tvarditsa.
