A runoff for mayors will be held in four municipalities in the Pazardzhik region.

Voting will take place in 60 settlements, and in 19 of them the mayor of a town hall will be elected.

Sectional there are 218 committees in which the second round will be held in the district.

Today it will become clear who will govern Pazardzhik, Panagyurishte, Belovo and Bratsigovo in the next 4 years. The difference between the two candidates in Panagyurishte is very small, so a contested battle is expected there.

The election will also be advanced in Pazardzhik, where the 9 candidates for mayor who dropped out of the first round united in favor of one participant in the runoff.

From an organizational point of view, the polling stations are expected to be calmer.

The chairman of the municipal election commission, Antoni Varbev:

“As you know, there will be elections on the territory of the entire municipality. The number of sections remains unchanged from the first round – 150. We do not expect any problems. We hope all the machines function properly and normally. When the machine vote is suspended, it continues on paper. At the moment, both the votes run parallel”.

On the day of reflection and on the night before today’s vote, there were no reports of violations.
