Residents of five municipalities – Vidin, Kula, Belogradchik, Novo Selo and Chuprene – elect mayors in a runoff.

In 8 villages they also vote for the mayor of the settlement.

Three of them – Bukovets, Gomotartsi and Slanoturn, are in Vidin municipality. Two are in the municipality of Dimovo – Septemvriytsi and Archar.

Mayors are also elected in the villages of Vrav, Bregovo Municipality, Belo Pole, Ruzhintsi Municipality and Dolni Lom, Chuprene Municipality.

There are just over 54,000 voters who can exercise their right to vote in Vidin municipality today. The number of voting sections remains the same from the first round – 130, explained the chairman of the municipal election commission, Daniel Boyanov.

“The sections in the municipality of Vidin are unchanged, no change is required anywhere. Even the settlements that have an elected mayor will participate in the runoff”.

8 are the mobile sections, there is a section in the hospital and in the Home for old people in Kutovo. 120 of the sections have video surveillance.

There are voting machines in 92.

“60 thousand are the ballots for the election of the mayor of a municipality”.

There are 600 ballots each for the mayor of Bukovec and Govomotartsi, 400 for the mayor of the village of Slanotran, the municipal election commission explained.
