There are nearly 76,000 voters in Haskovo municipality, and nearly 61,000 in the city of Haskovo. Voting takes place in 152 polling stations.
In 136 sections, voting will be by machine and on paper, and in the rest with less than 300 voters, only by paper. So far there is no information about machines that have not worked.
The Municipal Election Commission explained that citizens who are on the prohibited list due to lack of residence will not be allowed to vote. This also applies to Finance Minister Asen Vasilev, who for this reason was unable to vote in the first round.
On Friday, a letter arrived in the municipality from MRRB, which says that residency can be proven if paid bills for electricity, water, internet, insurance or insurance are presented.
The chairman of Haskovo OIC Dobromir Yakimov commented:
“It is absurd to prove this settlement with a receipt. The law provides for a way to prove this feature. The MRRB rule subsequently revoked this letter. In this situation there were 50 voters, mainly from Turkey, who were trying to vote” .
