29,565 are the people who today have the right to vote in the Montana region. Voting is held in eight municipalities – Berkovitsa, Boychinovtsi, Brusartsi, Valchedrum, Varshets, Lom, Medkovets and Montana.

15,190 people have the right to vote in Berkovitsa municipality. A municipal mayor is elected there in a runoff. Residents of Boychinovtsi also vote for the mayor of their municipality in the second round. There are 7349 voters. The third municipality in the Montana region, where a municipal mayor is being elected today, is Medkovets. There are 3,039 people with the right to vote.

In the remaining five municipalities, mayors are elected in some of the villages.

The police and the regional administration reported that the election day began in a calm environment. All sections are open on time. There are 84 of them, 6 of which are removable.

153 policemen guard the election day in the region.

Citizens can report violations on the ministry’s 24-hour hotline 02 90 112 98 and 096 396323, as well as by e-mail – [email protected] and [email protected].

Passport offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. They will issue certificates to citizens with lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed ID cards and expired documents to be able to vote.
