Election day in the city of Vidin started normally.

Absolutely all machines work. Just over 52,000 people have the right to vote. There are a total of 130 sections in the city – 8 of them are movable.

There was a problem with one of the machines, after checking it was found that it was not plugged in.

“Most people prefer to vote with machines. A total of 18 people passed, of which only two voted with paper ballots,” said Maya Kamenova – chairwoman of Sectional Election Commission 21 – Vidin.

“I will vote by machine because I think we are modern people. It’s more convenient,” said one voter.

“In previous elections, I always voted with a machine, but now I decided to exercise my right to vote with paper,” said a resident of the city.

The eyes in Vidin will also be directed to the Roma quarter “Nov Pat”, where additional police forces are deployed to ensure the normal course of the vote.

Between the first and second rounds, the Ministry of the Interior made an analysis and identified the risky settlements. There will also be an additional police force there.

Between the two rounds, 8 signals related to possible vote trading schemes were established. These materials have been submitted to the prosecutor’s office, investigations have begun.

We recall a story from the first round of the elections in Vidin – a member of a sectional committee who was beaten while trying to film an offense with his mobile phone. This was a person who tried to vote several times.

The prosecutor’s office is working on the case and there are already detainees.
