Today, residents of 5 municipalities in the Pleven region elect a mayor – Pleven, Iskar, Nikopol, Levski and Cherven Bryag. In 23 settlements in 10 municipalities in the district, they will vote for mayors of town halls. Only the villages in Iskar and Pordim municipalities have elected mayors in the first round.

The runoff everywhere has started in a calm atmosphere. And here are the candidates voters in the district will choose between:

For Pleven municipality the battle will be between Valentin Hristov and the previous mayor Georg Spartanski. Hristov collected 8288 votes in his support in the local elections in the first round – 19.44%. 7,833 voters voted for Spartanski, who is running for a third term, or 18.38% of those who went to the polls last Sunday.

In the town hall Ivy in the second round, the voters will choose between Hristo Tsvetanov (PP GERB) and the current mayor Tsvetan Gospodinov (MK BULGARIAN NEW DEMOCRACY (SDS). The difference between them in the first round is only 1 vote – 132 for the first (40.87%) and 131 for the second ( 40.56%).

In the town hall Disevitsa Plamen Beshkov (Together for a Strong Municipality), for whom 123 (38.44%) voted and who is fighting for another mandate, and Kristina Staykova (Future for the Motherland) – 106 votes, 33.13%, are going to the runoff.

In the town hall Pelishat two Idesians are fighting for the mayor’s chair – the previous mayor Petar Yochev (PP GERB) – who won 38.83% in the first round (153 votes) and Petar Georgiev (MK Bulgarian New Democracy (SDS), for whom 142 people cast their votes (36.04 %).

In the town hall Radishevo the contenders for the mayoral seat are Nayden Hristov (PP GERB) and the previous mayor Polya Petkova (MK Alternativata na zagradini), whose result in the first round is almost double that of her opponent – 103 votes (37.32%) against 50 (18.12 %).

In the town hall Todorovo Biser Petrov from “Vazrazhdane” (137 votes, 48.58% in the first round) is facing Venera Gencheva (MK Alternativa na citizens) – 77 votes (27.30%).

In the town hall Jerking two ladies are going to the runoff – Maria Ivanova from the LEFT!, who achieved 28.26% in the first round (104) and Svetla Georgieva MK Bulgarian New Democracy (SDS) – 34.24%, 126 votes.

IN Belene municipality a runoff will be held to elect a mayor in a town hall Five wellswhere Krasimira Dimanova from PP Bulgarian Rise (99 votes, 47.14% in the first round) and Mario Donchev from Local Coalition “GERB /BZNS,VMRO/” will fight for the trust of the voters with 79 votes, 37.62%.

IN Gulyantsi municipality second round will be held in a village Shiyakovo. Its residents have to choose between Tsvetan Radulov from BSP for Bulgaria, who received 24.31% in the first round (53 votes) and Iliya Atanasov from PP GERB with almost double the result – 46.79%, 102 votes.

Voters in town hall Somovit otherwise they will have to cast their vote for Emo Kukov from the LEFT! (153 votes, 47.81% in the first round), or for Toshko Gavrilov from Budeshte for the Homeland (133 votes, 41.56%).

In the town hall Baikal, municipality of Dolna Mitropolia, in the run-off are BSP’s candidacy for Bulgaria Stefan Gramatikov (59 votes, 30.89% in the first round) and Svetla Stankulova MK “GERB (BZNS, VMRO – Bulgarian National Movement, SDS)” (72 votes, 37.70%).

In the town hall Bivolare in the battle for the mayoral seat are the previous mayor Andrian Marinov from “Vazrazhdane”, who received 30.07% in the first round – 89 votes, and Valeri Radev from MK “GERB (BZNS, VMRO – Bulgarian National Movement, SDS)”, for whom the votes are released 124 people – i.e. 41.89%.

The residents of Bregare will have to prefer one of the two – the current mayor Tsvetan Velchovski from BSP for Bulgaria (93 votes, 38.59%) or the candidacy of MK “GERB (BZNS, VMRO – Bulgarian National Movement, SDS)” Diana Pachowska, for whom in the first round 69 people voted – 28.63%.

In the town hall Crushing Plamen Rumpolov (BSP for Bulgaria) and the previous mayor Vanyo Trankov from MK “GERB (BZNS, VMRO – Bulgarian National Movement, SDF)” are facing each other in a runoff, for whom 162 people (36.82%) voted in the first round respectively and 147 – 33.41%.

The battle of the runoff in the town hall will be contested Messer, municipality of Dolni Dabnik, where the two candidates for the mayor’s seat – Nikolay Radev, nominated by MK “BSP for Bulgaria”/BSP, VMRO-BND, ITN and Nako Danchev PP GERB, who is fighting for another mandate, have a minimal difference in the first round. They received 135 votes (40.91%) and 133 (40.30%) respectively.

For mayor of Iskar municipality the current mayor Valentin Yordanov, nominated by the local coalition BSP ZA Bulgaria /Bulgarian VAZHOD, VMRO, LEVITSATA!/ and Ivan Yolov, candidacy of Together for a Strong Municipality, will fight. In the first round, they got quite close results – respectively 39.99% (1124 votes) and 37.28% (1048).

IN Knezha municipality a run-off is coming for mayor of a town hall Enitsa on Sunday. The residents of the village will have to choose between Tsvetelina Petrova from PP GERB (she received 249 votes in the first round – 47.88%) and Simeon Zhelyazkov from BSP for Bulgaria (119 votes, 22.88%).

IN Levski municipality Lyubka Aleksandrova, supported by the BSP for Bulgaria/THE LEFT!/ (3285 votes in the first round – 42.14%) and Borislav Tsanov from the Coalition We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria with a twice lower result – 1572 votes, 20.17%, are fighting for the next mandate.

For mayor of Nikopol municipality on Sunday, Emil Tsekov from BSP will compete for Bulgaria (1654 votes, 37.31%) and Ahmed Akhmedov – DPS (1375 votes, 31.02%).

An interesting battle is looming in a village Dragash voivode, where there are three mayoral candidates in the runoff. Turay Tatarli (DPS) received 62 votes (20.46%) in the first round, only 2 less and respectively 19.80% were received by two – Ognyan Nikolov from PP GERB and Lyudmil Ivanov from BZNS.

In the town hall Vabel The current mayor Darin Kinov from BSP for Bulgaria (179 votes, 40.87%) and Stoyan Damyanov from PP GERB (188, 42.92%) are going to the runoff.

For the post of mayor in Cherkovitsa Volodya Genchev from ITN, for whom 105 (47.09%) voted in the first round, and Liliana Dimitrova from “Vazrazhdane” (84, 37.67%) are fighting.

The residents of Cherven Bryag municipality they also failed to elect a mayor. This Sunday they will choose between Atanas Atanasov from the Union of Free Democrats (2,667 votes in the first round, 23.74%) and the current mayor Tsvetan Dimitrov from PP GERB (2,006, 17.86%).

The residents of Chomakovci this Sunday they will vote for one of the two candidates for the post of mayor – the previous mayor Dimcho Beshovishki from PP GERB, who received 196 votes in the first round (45.37%) and Veselin Atanasov from MK Political Movement Social Democrats (PP Political Movement Social Democrats, PP Movement for Rights and freedoms, PP Novoto vreme), for whom 180 people voted, which is 41.67%.
