“I voted for a free and democratic city. For a city free from corporate dependencies. For a city where everyone has the freedom to be who they are and not worry about it.” This was said by the candidate for mayor of Sofia, Vanya Grigorova.

She chose to vote by paper ballot in the capital runoff.

“The voting method doesn’t matter. Whoever wants to vote, but let them vote,” she commented on the choice of paper.

“I voted for a city without hatred, in which we have not lost our human appearance and in which we can look each other in the eye,” commented Grigorova.

She added that she voted with hope, charged with enthusiasm and energy.

“I really hope people will find time and go to the polls. If they understood that it depends on them. One mandate is not little, it is not enough, but it is not little. Now is the time when we must take matters into our own hands and understand what is democracy and what is a corporation in order to reject it,” said Grigorova.
