8.69% was the voter turnout in the municipality of Pazardzhik before 11 a.m. in today’s runoff, the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) reports. This means that 8,413 voters out of 96,790 entitled to vote in the municipality with the regional city have already gone to the polls.
In the first round last week, activity at 11 o’clock was 12.48%, i.e. it is now weaker.
In our region, today it will be decided who will be the mayors of four local municipalities and various villages. The municipalities are:
– In the regional city, the current mayor and representative of the local coalition “New Time” Todor Popov and Petar Kulenski – PP-DB candidate – are fighting for the trust of the voters.
– Between the current mayor Kostadin Varev, supported by the SDS, and Stoyko Stefanov from the Alternative for Citizens (KP BSP for Bulgaria) will also choose in Belovo.
– Two ladies made it to the runoff in Bratsigovo – the former mayor Nadezhda Kazakova, supported by GERB, and Maria Madarova from the Our City Movement.
– And in the municipality of Panagyurishte, the current mayor Nikola Belishki and the independent candidate Zhelyazko Gagov are competing for the mayor’s seat.
