Yana Titova’s second film will be presented today in the cinema in one of the Burgas malls. Special guests at the screening of “Diada” will be the actresses in the lead roles Margarita Stoykova and Petra Tsarnorechka. They will meet the audience in person after the film and sign autographs.
“Diada” – already achieved serious success – took four Golden Rose awards and was part of the official competition program of one of the leading film festivals in the world with category “A”, namely – the one in Warsaw. It is also due to be shown in Tallinn, Estonia, whose cinema forum is also among the top 15, as well as in Cottbus, Germany.
“Dyada” focuses on the story of Dida, a 16-year-old girl from a small town, and in doing so touches on many sensitive topics close to the world and emotions of teenagers.
The main cast of “Diada” includes a number of favorite actors such as Ivan Burnev, Silvia Lulcheva, Stoyan Doichev, Irmena Chichikova, Tsvetan Alexiev, Vasil Binev, Jacqueline Docheva and others. Petra Tsarnorechka, a student at the National Music School in Sofia, was chosen for the role of Dida’s best friend – Iva.
The film was shot in Yambol in the summer of 2022. Cinematography was done by Martin Balkanski.
