The on-duty teams of the regional offices for fire safety and protection of the population in the Targovishte region responded to numerous signals of the need for assistance in removing the consequences of yesterday’s storm. The most numerous are those from the municipality of Targovishte, announced the spokesperson of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ani Krasteva, BTA reports.

Teams of the fire service have removed from the roadway trees and large branches that fell due to the strong wind, hindering the movement of motor vehicles on the road between the villages of Bistra – Golyamo Sokolovo, Davidovo – Ralitsa, on the road Sofia – Varna in the area of ​​the village of Probuda, on the road between the village of Zdravets and the “Vabel” quarter of Targovishte, near the village of Kralevo, in the village of Razboyna, in the village of Vardun – in the direction of the village of Dolno Novkovo, on the road from Targovishte to the “Vabel” quarter, in the village of Tarnovtsa – in the direction of the village of Preselets, as well as on “Spiridon Gramadov”, “Vasil Petleshkov” and “Nikola Simov” streets in the city. A team of employees of the regional fire service in Antonovo removed a tree that fell due to the strong wind on the roof of a house and outbuilding in the village of Dobrotitsa, which was dangerously inclined towards the street. Fallen trees were also removed on the main road Sofia – Varna – near the towns of Omurtag and Antonovo, to the junction for the village of Kamburovo, as well as on the road Antonovo – village of Malogradets.

Employees of the regional office in Popovo have removed large branches that fell on the road from Popovo to Targovishte near the junction for the village of Gloginka, a large tree on the road between the villages of Slavyanovo and Braknitsa, and trees on the road between the villages of Aprilovo and Marchino.

As BTA reported, last night in a total of 23 settlements in the Targovishte district there were difficulties with the power supply as a result of the storm, accompanied by heavy rain.
