More than 120 objects with the appearance of cultural and historical values were discovered
Police officers in Shumensko found antiques and the sum of nearly BGN 40,000 during searches related to investigations of election violations. Three addresses in Pliska were checked on Sunday morning by employees of the ODMVR-Shumen in connection with received operational information about possible crimes related to the electoral legislation.
The police reported that nearly 35,000 BGN and over 2,000 euros of unknown origin were found at one of the addresses. The sum of BGN 2,500 was found in another property. More than 120 objects with the appearance of cultural and historical values were seized, including coins, belt appliqués, a medieval seal with an animal image, arrowheads, rings with open rings, parts of medieval clothing and a medieval knife. Expertises have yet to establish the dating of the items. A metal detector was also seized.
The work on the initiated proceedings continues under the guidance of the competent prosecutor’s offices.
