Every year on November 14th we celebrate World Diabetes Day.
It has been celebrated since 1991 under the auspices of the World Health Organization, and in 2007, with a UN resolution, it became a day officially recognized by the UN.
In connection with the World Diabetes Day, various initiatives are being organized at MBAL “Dr. Atanas Dafovski” JSC.
Screening for diabetes of employees and workers of the companies “Teklas Bulgaria” AD and “Kashif” OOD was launched. The examined persons with established glycemic disorders will be consulted with a specialist in endocrinology and metabolic diseases in the endocrinology department of the medical institution.
Lectures and talks related to obesity and risk factors for diabetes, healthy eating and prevention will be organized for students.
From November 8 to November 10, inclusive, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. medical examinations with an endocrinologist are organized after prior booking on phone 0361 68266 until the capacity is exhausted, and a referral from a personal physician is not necessary.
We, at MBAL “Dr. Atanas Dafovski” JSC, mainly work on timely diagnosis, prevention and early treatment of this disease.
Anyone who feels threatened, predisposed or already has such a problem can seek and consult with the specialists in endocrinology and metabolic diseases in the department.
