On Saturday at Northeastern Bulgaria a cyclone passed, accompanied by hurricane-force winds and rain. Most serious damage a stormshe applied in areasthem Smolyan, Targovishte, Razgrad, Silistra and Shumen. A state of emergency has been declared in the village of Lavino, municipality of Isperih, due to the devastating damage. In the municipality of Dulgopol, as well as in the municipality of Loznitsa, the partial disaster situation remains.

Social workers inform people about all options for social, financial, psychological and health support. They assist the sufferedthey and for submitting applications for a one-time application help, which is up to BGN 1,512. It is granted to cover incidental needs after an assessment of the damage caused. This amount will allow sufferedfor them to cover urgent expenses for basic, vital needs, to provide themselves with food, water, medicine, clothing. Households are also consulted on the possibility of assistance from the “Social Protection” fund worth BGN 2,500.
